Mardi Himal Trek is a short, amazing and newly opened trekking trail in the Annapurna region. The trail opened in early 2010, however it is very popular trip in Annapurna region, Nepal. It is located east of Modi Khola river across the valley from Hiunchuli. This great trip will start after one and half hour of drive from Pokhara via Phedi and trek upto Deurali then continues walk to Forest camp, Low camp, High camp, Sidhing village, Lumre and finally back to Pokhara. High Camp is the highest point of this trip at the altitude of 4500 meters. Here we enjoying the majestic mountain views and excellent landscapes.
During the trekking trail, goes through the magical rhododendron forest, terrace farms, interesting villages, dazling river and stunning views of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Machhapuchre (6988m), Hiunchuli and other top mountain ranges. During the treks we will stay at teahouse lodge, enjoy typical local foods and experience lifestyle of local villagers.
Upon arrival you will be meet and assisted by Glance Himalaya Tour's representative and transferred to Hotel. Evening explore local market.
After morning breakfast we then drive to Pokhara , half day sightseeing in Pokhara Valley including Phewa Lake, Barahi Temple, boating in Fewa Lake, Davis Falls and Gupteshwori Temple.
Drive from Pokhara to Phedi, it takes about one hours. The road is reasonably good. Then trek from Phedi to Pothana village Deurali (2150m), It takes about 4 hours.
Breakfast in the morning we then trek from Pothana village to Forest Camp. it takes about 5 hours. Overnight at camp.
The flora and funna has turned to classic cloud forest with mosses and liche, . As we climb there are natural windows in the woods that view out onto thrilling panoramas towards Hiunchuli Peak and the knife-sharp traverse towards Annapurna South. Far below to our left, we can see Modi Khola Valley leading up into the Annapurna Sanctuary. Though Low Camp still surrounded by forest, we have magnificent northerly views of the ever-closer Mt. Fishtail.
After early breakfast we start trekking to reach our highest point of the trek, if conditions are favorable, up to 15,000 /16,000 ft. In the afternoon we return to our camp. If the weather is clear, the view today will never be forgotten.
Today is rest day in and around High Camp. A peaceful day of acclimatization, reading and relaxing in the warmth of the midday sun.
Today the trail decent through the shade of the forest, and out onto terraced fields, down 1,600 m. This is a different route down –to the upper Mardi Khola. Here, as we make our way along the banks of the Mardi Khola from the hill-side village of Siding, down through the lovely fields, past the simple farms and over the 'interesting' bridges, there is no doubting this is indeed the idyllic Nepali countryside.
Morning we will see the spectacular views of Himalayan range from siding, the trail continues to Pokhara city. Evening explore Phewa Lake.
After breakfast in the hotel, we drive back to Kathmandu, it will takes about 6 to 7 hours. Evening farewell dinner with culture show at Kathmandu.
Breakfast at hotel, we then drive you to Kathmandu airport 3 hours before of your flight schedule with the beautiful memory of Nepal Himalaya.
